The All of Us Research Program has started returning health-related DNA results to participants! We notified over 3,500 participants that their results were ready on November 29. And we continue to notify more participants every week.
This is a big milestone for All of Us. As an All of Us participant, you are our partner in research. Offering health-related DNA results is one way we can show our appreciation for your partnership and help you learn more about your health.
In today’s update, we will give you more information about how we’re notifying participants about health-related DNA results. When it’s your turn, we will send you an email or text message to tell us if you want health-related DNA results. Log in to your All of Us account and make sure that your contact information is up to date.
When will I receive my results?
Participants who said “Yes” to the Consent to Get DNA Results and gave us a sample can get health-related DNA results. Once you complete these steps, we will contact you based on when you gave us a sample. Depending on when you gave us your sample, it may be several more months before we contact you.
In 2023, we plan to contact several thousand participants each week. We will ask them if they want their Hereditary Disease Risk report, their Medicine and Your DNA report, both, or neither. Once we know which reports a participant wants, we will start preparing them. Within a few months, we will return their health-related DNA results.
Thank you!
We are excited to share health-related DNA results with our participants and want to thank you for helping us achieve this important milestone. You are an essential part of helping us reach our goal of speeding up health research. We couldn’t do any of this without your participation.
Your partner in research,
The All of Us Research Program
